HST in the Archives and Libraries: Current Issues and Challenges

The IUHPST/DHST Commission on Bibliography, Archives and Records seeks expressions of interest in participating in the commission-sponsored symposium at the 2025 International Congress of the History of Science and Technology in Dunedin, New Zealand (29 June – 5 July, 2025). The commission aims to assemble up to three thematic sessions on topics of current interest to the history of science and technology bibliography, archives and records community that fall within the following broad parameters:

  • Resources (especially bibliographies and archives) for and about under-represented groups
  • Digital libraries and archives: tools, methodologies, theoretical approaches
  • Networks, connections, and linking archives and records

We are also open to proposals for other session themes.

The Commission is planning three 90-minute sessions open to contributed presentations and panel discussions. Interested participants should contact cbddhst@gmail.com with your name, country, and a brief description of your intended contribution. Please send your submission by June 15, 2024. Formal titles and abstracts of selected papers will be solicited closer to the Congress.
